One of the most important collections of early Dutch voyages to the East Indies, and an important source for the history of the VOC, collected by Isaac Commelin (1598-1676). Of the 21 voyages, 12 are printed for the first time. With 2 (1 col.) engr. titles and 228 partly col. copper plates. Contemp. calf. - Very good copy of a mighty rare and important work. Only some small tears and marginal defects to around 15 plates, 1 leaf detached. Binding rubbed and bumped, outer joints torn, spine ends with small defective spots.
